There was no longer a secret body controlling everything, there was still a lot of questions that had to be answered.? The Vampires were something Val would have thought would have been the hardest to reconcile, having such different views that could not work together.? However, many of them had suffered under the oppressive yolk of the Fulcrum so they seemed excited to work under an organization that would be much more transparent.?＜/p＞ ＜p＞They still bickered with each other but at least they came to the table.? The werewolves had no hesitation to join with Henrik and Val, having fought by their side in the battle against the Fulcrum, and to a werewolf, that is something often stronger than words.? The witches were eager to join with the alliance fully.? They made it very clear that much of their arts would stay a secret but they would keep the lines of communication open.? The elementals and the spirits were the least keen.? The biggest change is that the human allies were given a place at the table. Val could hardly remember when it was just a lost ruin, it had become a home and power center so fast.? Val was the interim leader of the alliance, something she earned through the last conflict but something she worried she would not be able to keep up.? Though she seemed to excel as a leader, she still deep-down thought of herself as the solitary drifter, the street girl that offers nothing and takes nothing. Henrik proved to be the biggest source of strength for Val.? His unconditional love and loyalty always centered her when she needed it.? No matter what responsibilities befell on Val, he was always ready to support and love her.?
